Is Soq a medical device?
Soq is a consumer wellness product, in the same category as the many trusted health-tracking wearables parents and adults already use every day. It tracks your baby’s heart rate, oxygen saturation, sleep cycles, and temperature, and surfaces that data in a clear, reassuring companion app.
Soq is not cleared or approved as a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. For any health concerns about your baby, please consult your pediatrician. Soq is designed to support your peace of mind, not replace professional medical care.
Does Soq prevent SIDS?
Soq is a wellness product built for everyday peace of mind, not a SIDS prevention device. No commercial product has been proven to prevent SIDS, and the American Academy of Pediatrics advises against relying on any home monitor for that purpose. We built Soq with that reality front of mind.
For safe sleep, follow the AAP’s guidance: back sleeping, firm flat surface, nothing loose in the crib.
What does Soq measure?
Soq tracks your baby’s heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, skin temperature, and sleep quality throughout the night. Rather than confronting you with raw numbers or midnight alerts, it translates that data into clear trends, rhythms, and daily summaries in the companion app. Soq is designed to give you a fuller picture of your baby’s wellbeing over time, so you can rest easier knowing that picture is always there when you want it.
How is my baby's data handled?
Soq is built around a simple principle: your family’s data belongs to your family. All health data is processed and stored locally on your device, giving you complete ownership and control. You can export or permanently delete it at any time.
Is it safe?
Soq is designed from the ground up with a baby’s comfort and safety as the starting point. The materials in contact with your baby’s skin are soft, breathable, and gentle by design. There are no loose parts, no heat output, and no sharp edges. Soq will meet all applicable European consumer product safety requirements before it reaches your door.
When does Soq launch?
We hope to launch Soq in 2026, and ideally as soon as possible. First we will pilot in the Netherlands and we plan to undertake an expansion into other parts of the EU in 2027. More to be announced.
What ages is Soq for?
Babies aged 0–36 months. The band can be adjusted as they grow.
How long does the battery last?
Three nights per charge. Wireless charging in under 90 minutes.
How do I wash it?
The outer sock comes off and goes in the washing machine. The sensor module stays out of water.
What if I have twins?
Soq supports multiple children in one app. Each child gets their own soq and their own story and data.
Where do you ship?
Only in NL to begin with, soon EU.
